Privacy Policy
Summary
Screen Buddy does not collect any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device. No information is ever sent to us, a server, or any third party.
Data handled by the app
Screen Buddy stores the following only on-device, for its own operation:
- Child profiles: first name, avatar (emoji or photo picked from your gallery), preferences (screen-time rules, end-of-session sound, configured reward).
- Session history: duration, activity, date of each completed session.
- Medals and rewards: internal progress within the gamification system.
This data is stored in the app's private storage (AsyncStorage) on your device. It never leaves the device.
Gallery photos
When you pick a photo as a child avatar or reward image, the app requests the standard system permission to access your gallery. The selected photo remains locally on the device. No photo is transmitted.
Children, GDPR-K / COPPA
Screen Buddy is explicitly designed to be used with children. We comply with the spirit of GDPR-K (Europe) and COPPA (United States) by collecting no data at all, including no cookies, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs.
Data sharing
No sharing. We don't run servers; we cannot share what we don't collect.
Advertising
No ads. Screen Buddy contains no advertising and no ad trackers.
In-app purchases
None. The app offers no in-app purchases.
Data deletion
To delete all app data, simply uninstall the app from your device. Everything is erased automatically.
